I, Singularity

I, Sigularity: an Affirmation

I will write as I will write

And dream against all dreams,

Until such time as I shall sleep

Silent —

Ashes drifting

On the solar wind.

From birth to death

My life between

But spotted ink and tears

Mingled,

Inseparable,

My oh-so-faint scribbling yet

Inerasable,

Indelible.

Whether noted or a footnote

A shadow in someone's foggy mind,

My thoughts will join the stars

To burst among the fiery suns

Or find space bent

And fall into the blackness

Of the void.

A writer must write, and a poet is the most driven of all writers. Whether I gain fame on this earth is irrelevant. My thoughts are cast upon the universe.

Wonderful, the longevity of writings that impact the lives of others. Great statement.

Thank you for your comment. What we write, now that we have the internet, will live forever. And thankfully, the wonderful words and thoughts of those who have preceded us will live forever also.

Ashes of words drifting on the solar wind to be grit in the eyes of a future generation. This is lovely Ann. Your word choices and combination are unforgettable even now.
