I, Singularity
60
I, Sigularity: an Affirmation
I will write as I will write
And dream against all dreams,
Until such time as I shall sleep
Silent —
Ashes drifting
On the solar wind.
From birth to death
My life between
But spotted ink and tears
Mingled,
Inseparable,
My oh-so-faint scribbling yet
Inerasable,
Indelible.
Whether noted or a footnote
A shadow in someone's foggy mind,
My thoughts will join the stars
To burst among the fiery suns
Or find space bent
And fall into the blackness
Of the void.
A writer must write, and a poet is the most driven of all writers. Whether I gain fame on this earth is irrelevant. My thoughts are cast upon the universe.

Ashes of words drifting on the solar wind to be grit in the eyes of a future generation. This is lovely Ann. Your word choices and combination are unforgettable even now.
Beautiful.

Wonderful, the longevity of writings that impact the lives of others. Great statement.
